About: Li Garden is a private garden built by Mr. Xie Weili, a local overseas Chinese who lived in the United States. Based on the Grand View Garden (Daguanyuan) described in the Chinese classic, A Dream of Red Mansions, Li Garden maintains much of the style of the traditional Chinese garden. Meanwhile it is integrated with the feature of European and American villas of its time. The layout of Li Garden can be divided into three areas: Villa Area, Grand Garden and Small Garden. They are separated by artificial rivers and walls while connected by bridges, pavilions and winding corridors, creating a wonderful scenery. Villas in the garden are of outstanding features. Their body is of the distinguished western style while the roof is traditional double eaves covered with green glazed tiles, presenting a unique glamour. The whole garden is decorated with well-preserved paintings, clay sculptures and calligraphies that create a profound cultural atmosphere. A stroll through the meandering footpaths is a nice change of pace from the bustling city. Li Garden is waiting for you to discover its new charm.
