About: Yuexiu Park, a comprehensive park in Guangzhou, opened in 1927 and is over 80 years old. It serves as a natural defense in the northern part of Guangzhou together with Bai Yun Mountain. With its highest peak standing more than 7000m above sea level, it is also called Yue (Guangdong) Xiu Mountain, Yue Wang Mountain and Guanyin Mountain in history. It’s the starting point and landmark of Guangzhou’s Traditional Central Axis and is of great importance to Guangzhou’s history and culture. Yuexiu Park consists of seven peaks with the main peak being the Yuejing Peak, and three artificial lakes—Beixiu Lake, Nanxiu Lake, and Dongxiu Lake.
