By the end of 2016, Pingshan had 24 enterprises engaging in the cultural and creative industry. The added value of cultural tourism industry reached 2.04 billion yuan in 2016, an increase of 3.7 percent compared with the previous year and accounting for 4 percent of the district’s GDP.

The district is forging cultural brands and promoting the tourism industry by upgrading the sculpture arts creative park, building the Huayi Brothers Culture City and planning all-rounded tourism strategies and plans that emphasize tourism routes related to ecological culture, Hakka culture, red culture (covering significant historical sites in China’s revolution to become an independent modern country) and industrial culture.

It will promote construction of a BYD industrial tourism area and turn it into a model for industrial tourism in the eastern part of the city.
