A night of Beethoven classics

Chinese pianist Xu Hong will collaborate with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra to present Beethoven’s “Name Day Overture” and “Piano Concerto No. 5.”

Xu’s career began at a very early age, making his orchestral concerto debut in China at just 16 years old with Rachmaninov’s “Piano Concerto No. 2.”

He studied at the Eastman School of Music and The Julliard School. In 2008, Xu represented The Julliard School at the Beijing Cultural Olympiad.

The New York Times described Xu’s performance as “lithe, elegant, insightful and technically brilliant with scintillating results.”
