Other cultural events include GT Italian Festival, Italy as Guest of Honor for the Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival, and university exchanges between Italy and Guangdong.

During the GT Italian Festival, there will be an Italian Film Festival, Italian Commodity Fair, Italian Fashion Show, and Italian Contemporary Art Exhibition, offering local audiences a glimpse into the excellent contemporary movies, fashion and art of Italy.

Based on the productive cooperation in the previous editions, Italy will be the Guest of Honor in this year’s Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival on Dec. 7-10, 2015. Italian Documentary Association (DOC.IT) will organize a large delegation to the festival, showing Italian documentaries and communicating with local documentary teams.

Recently, university exchanges between Italy and Guangdong are in full swing as usual. Polytechnic University of Turin (POLITO) is working closely with South China University of Technology to set up an urban planning workshop early next year and boost the architectural exchanges. Sun Yet-San University is cooperating with Bocconi University on economy programs. The president of University of Padova is coming to visit Guangzhou University for strengthening their students and teacher exchanges this week as well.
